FIRST INFORMATION CAMPAIGN

On 28.01.2016, in the conference room of the Municipal Administration - Beloslav was held the first Information campaign within the Project for the establishment of Local Action Group "Avren - Beloslav" under sub-measure 19.1 "Help for preparatory activities" of measure 19 "Community-led local development" of the Programme for rural development for 2014-2020, co-financed by the European agricultural Fund for rural development, financed under the concluded trilateral Contract № RD50-181 from 12.07.2015 on granting financial aid.
Avren is a leading partner in the establishment of a local partnership for the purpose of applying the approach Community-led local development (CLLD), which includes representatives from the public, private and NGO sectors, with territorial coverage within the administrative borders of the two neighboring municipalities - Avren and Beloslav.
The attendants of the information campaign were welcomed by the Mayor of Beloslav - Eng. Deyan Ivanov. He thanked everyone for participating in the event and shared in his special address to the audience his opinion of the benefits stemming from Avren municipality, together with the Municipality of Beloslav and representatives of NGOs and businesses developing technical, cultural, tourist and social infrastructure on the territory of both municipalities by establishing a Local Action Group as a result of the successful implementation of this project.
The meeting continued led by Mr. Ivanov, who presented to the audience the objectives, activities and expected results in the realization of a joint project under sub-measure 19.1 "Help for preparatory activities" of measure 19 "Community-led local development" from the Program for rural development for the period 2014 – 2020. He also noted that the establishment of a Local Action Group will increase the added value of the economic activity of the municipalities, creating new jobs and stopping the depopulation of rural areas, developing alternative economic activities, innovative industries and territorial identity through the development of local projects. Recent experience shows that by involving the private and business sectors, higher standard and quality of public services is achieved, without this leading to an increase in budget spending for the municipalities.
The mayor of Beloslav reported that by conducting this campaign the beginning is set of a survey among local communities and stakeholders, which aims at studying and analyzing the opinions of a wide range of participants - representatives of stakeholders from the public, business and non-profit sector in the municipality of Avren and Beloslav, informal leaders, experts in various areas of socio-economic development, which survey is expected to obtain an objective opinion about the needs and potential of both territories for their development in the context of the overall priorities, goals and interventions within the scope of the approach Community-led local development.
This will help collect the necessary information about the process of establishing a Local Action Group to implement an integrated multi-funded strategy approach on Community-led local development with an area of ??action within the administrative boundaries of the two municipalities. This will give personal contribution to the further successful functioning of the LAG "Avren - Beloslav" in favor of local communities. This will aid the process of development of a value rich strategy based on the specific needs and potential of the local population of both municipalities and bringing together their common socio-economic interests.
The meeting was attended by representatives of NGOs and the business sector, officials of the municipalities of Avren and Beloslav and Community Centers Boards.
